Promise only what you can fulfil
Keep your menu, prices and availability current. Explain the delivery or pickup flow and the enabled payment options clearly. If an item cannot be prepared or an address cannot be served, the team needs a process for responding promptly. A link alone does not create reliable fulfilment.
Give guests a clear route back
Use a permitted, consistent ordering link on your own channels and printed material. Keep the call to action simple and test it on a phone. Ask whether a returning guest can find the menu, understand the order status and contact the restaurant without searching through old messages.
Review the whole order journey
Track the steps your tools actually support, such as visits, submitted orders and completed deliveries. Distinguish these from enquiries and abandoned carts. Review delivery exceptions and guest feedback alongside order counts. Improve the experience before spending more to attract people to the same broken step.
